About Christopher John Govea.
Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology and Fellowship Trained in Musculoskeletal MRI, Dr. Christopher Govea has an extensive background in high-level imaging. Dr. Govea received his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry, Magna cum laude, from Texas A&M University and his Medical Degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Baylor College of Medicine, where he was selected as Chief Resident. Dr. Govea then completed fellowship training in Musculoskeletal MRI at National Orthopedic Imaging Associates in San Francisco, California, serving as Chief Fellow. Dr. Govea previously served as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology at Baylor College of Medicine and as the Chief of Musculoskeletal Imaging at the Baylor Clinic. He also served as Co-founder and Vice President of Houston Progressive Radiology Associates. His professional experience includes previous roles with Stanford Health Care and Radiology Partners. Dr. Govea maintains active medical licensure in 17 states, including California, Texas, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Colorado. Dr. Govea performs specialized radiology duties with a distinct focus on sports medicine, trauma, and musculoskeletal imaging. He has served as the Team Radiologist for the Houston Texans and as a Team Consultant Radiologist for the Houston Rockets, Oakland Athletics, and the University of Houston. His expertise encompasses image interpretation and direct patient care for athletes.
