About Manuel Fortes.
Dr. Fortes has been advancing the field of interventional neuroradiology since 2010. He is board certified by the American Board of Radiology and the American Board of Neurological Surgery.
He earned his Medical Degree from Fundacao Tecnico Educational Souza Marques School of Medicine in Brazil in 2004. He completed an internal medicine internship and diagnostic radiology residency at the Federal University of Sao Paulo, followed by an interventional radiology fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Dr. Fortes then completed a three-year combined Neuroradiology and Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology fellowship at the University of Maryland Medical Center, Shock Trauma. His clinical specializations include brain aneurysms, stroke thrombectomies, neuroradiological interpretation, spinal diseases, kyphoplasty, and RF ablation.
He is a senior member of the Society of Neurointerventional Surgery.
