Questions about
your estimate?

The assumptions behind your numbers, explained.

For each equipment group, we multiply machines × staffed hours per day × days per month × 60, divide by minutes per study, and apply the usable-time percentage. We round each group down to whole studies, then add the groups. Include preparation and turnover in each study’s time. MRI workflow research →ACR / RSNA: MRI examination time →

Machines with the same field strength can run different hours and protocol mixes. Your schedule, slot length, and usable time give the estimate an explicit basis you can adjust.

The share of scheduled scanner time available after downtime and breaks not already included in your slot length. Include each loss once. Use a staffed schedule and a weighted average of your exam mix; actual demand is a separate constraint.

No. This is a planning estimate, not a certified equipment limit or forecast of demand. Staffing, exam mix, safety requirements, and local operations determine what is feasible.
